Septic System – Limited Life
A Mahopac, NY client’s septic system was in failure. All septic systems have a limited life. After years of use the fields become clogged with septic sludge and no longer process the septic water properly.
Clay Soil Not Optimum
The yard was clay soil and, therefore, not optimum for a septic system; clay soil is dense so water passes through it slowly. Optimum septic soil allows a faster rate of percolation to occur so that water does not rise to the surface in puddles.
Installation of Equal Distribution System with 500′ of Septic Fields
Precision Excavating Inc., with 30+ years of field experience, installed a system that could handle the waste water from the household despite the soil conditions. This included 500′ of septic fields in an equal distribution system. Such a system pumps the waste water to all the fields equally, thus not saturating only one area at a time.
Equal Distribution Box
In order to pump the waste water evenly to all 500′ of fields, an equal distribution box was installed along with a pump tank and pump to “push” the waste water to the entire system.
